Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup unsalted margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup water
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon flour
Directions:
Beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Dissolve baking soda in water and add to batter; beat well.
Add bananas.
Add dry ingredients; blend.
Pour chocolate chips into a separate bowl and mix with the remaining teaspoon of flour before adding to the batter (this can keep the chips from sinking to the bottom of the pan). Pour into a 9-inch square baking pan or bundt pan.
Bake at 350 F for 45-50 minutes.
