Cooking a ham is a great way to feed a crowd and it’s relatively easy to do. Here’s a simple recipe to follow:

Ingredients:

  • 1 bone-in or boneless ham
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Place the ham in a roasting pan and score the surface with a sharp knife. This will allow the glaze to penetrate the meat.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, ground cloves, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the glaze evenly over the surface of the ham.
  5. Cover the pan with foil and place it in the oven. Cook for about 20 minutes per pound of ham, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Note: If you’re using a bone-in ham, you may want to add some water to the bottom of the pan to prevent the glaze from burning.

Also, you can add some additional flavor by adding pineapple juice or apple juice, or even a bit of your favorite beer or wine to the bottom of the pan while roasting.

Enjoy your delicious ham with your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables, potatoes, or a salad.
