Brownies are a classic dessert that are easy to make and always a crowd pleaser. Here is a simple recipe for making delicious brownies at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Optional: chocolate chips or nuts for added flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the sugar and stir until well combined. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, to the cooled butter and sugar mixture, stirring well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Slowly add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Stir in the vanilla extract (if using).
  5. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before cutting and serving.

Enjoy your homemade brownies! They can be served warm or at room temperature, with or without ice cream, and can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.

You can also add some variation to your recipe by using different types of chocolate, or by adding different types of nuts, dried fruits, or other flavorings. Experiment with different ingredients to find your perfect recipe. Have fun and enjoy!
