Ingredients:
2 cups cornmeal
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons flour
1 eggs
1/2 onions, finely minced
oil ( for deep frying)
milk ( if needed)
Directions:
Preheat oil to 350F in a large skillet or deep fryer.
Mix remaining ingredients to make a stiff batter – adding milk as needed.
Use small scoop or tablespoon to scoop individual amounts and drop into hot oil.
Cook until golden brown – drain on paper towel.
