Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups fresh cooked pumpkin
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup nuts (optional) or 1 cup chocolate (optional)
Directions:
Cream together the first 6 ingredients. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Drop by the teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes at 375 F.
