Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 large eggs
3 tablespoons light molasses
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon cloves

Directions:
Blend together ingredients until dough forms.
Press into bottom of greased 9×13″ pan.
Brush with water.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake at 350F F for 20-30 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
