Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large yellow onions
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
3 garlic cloves ( sliced or minced)
salt and pepper
2 (6 ounce) cans tuna in water, drained
2 (29 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes ( I prefer to use redpack brand)
Directions:
Chop onion and saute in oil.
Add parsley, basil, garlic, salt and pepper.
Add tuna, and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes, juice and all, If you don’t care for the consistency of these tomatoes, you can puree them in the food processor or use tomato puree instead Simmer 20 minutes.
Pour over pasta.
