Ingredients:
1 cup butter
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
Melt butter and chocolate in top of double boiler over simmering water.
Cool to room temperature.
In large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; blend in chocolate mixture.
Add flour and salt; mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Spread batter into greased and floured 9×13-inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25- 30 minutes.
