Ingredients:
2 tablespoons oil
2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 large onions, sliced
1 cup beef broth
2 large potatoes, pared and thinly sliced
1 (10 3/4 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1 1/4 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/4 cups corn flakes, crushed
Directions:
Heat oil in large skillet.
Cook and stir meat and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender; add broth; heat to boiling; reduce heat and cover and simmer 1 hours.
Heat oven to 350 F; pour meat mixture into ungreased baking dish (13x9x2-inch).
Arrange potato slices on meat; stir together soup, sour cream, milk, salt and pepper; pour over potatoes.
Sprinkle with cheese and cereal.
Bake uncovered 1 1/2 hrs or until potatoes and meat are tender.
