Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
1 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 large eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon whipping cream

Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl; cut in butter with a pastry cutter until coarse crumbs form.
Form a well in the center; set aside.
Whisk egg, vanilla, cream, and buttermilk together;
Stir into dry mixture until just moistened.
Fold in strawberries; gently knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.about 10 seconds.
Pat into a 7″ circle about 1″ thick.
Slice into 8 wedges — arrange on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
To prepare GLAZE:
Combine egg and whipping cream.whisk till frothy.
Brush with glaze and sprinkle with additional sugar is desired.
Bake at 375F until golden, about 15 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
