Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups packaged brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 1/2 teaspoons maple flavoring ( not syrup)
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease 9″ x 9″ pan.
Mix sugar and butter.
Mix in eggs one at a time.
Mix in flavoring.
Add all but nuts and mix in.
Stir in nuts.
Bake 30-40 minutes until a toothpick inserted is nearly clean but not completely clean.
For me they take 35 minutes, but watch them from 30 minutes on.
I cut immediately to avoid excess breaking of the caramelized crust.
