Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef or 1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 cloves minced garlic
2 cups water
1 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1/2 cup dried lentils, rinsed
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
6 -8 hamburger buns
Directions:
Cook beef, onions, and garlic in large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink.
Drain.
Add water, tomato sauce, lentils, ketchup, vinegar, mustard and pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 60-70 minutes till lentils are tender.
Serve on buns.
