Green Beans with Tomatoes and Bacon

Ingredients:
vegetable oil cooking spray
3 slices turkey bacon, coarsely chopped
1 cup chopped onions
1 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces

Directions:
Spray a large skillet with vegetable oil spray.
Add bacon and cook over medium heat until bacon is just crisp, about 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove bacon from skillet.
Set aside.
Spray skillet with a little more spray.
Add onion and cook over medium heat until tender, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add undrained tomatoes,thyme, salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to a boil.
Place green beans on top of tomato mixture.
Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered,until beans are crisp-tender, about 15 minutes.
Before serving,sprinkle beans with reserved bacon and toss gently.
Serve warm.
