Ingredients:
1 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 cup shortening ( softened)
1 1/3 cups brown sugar ( firmly packed)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups oats, uncooked
1 cup raisins
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg into bowl. Add shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Beat until smooth. Stir in oats and raisins.
Drop by heating teaspoon onto greased sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
