Ingredients:
4 pork loin chops or 4 rib chops
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 medium onions, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/2 cup dry white wine (I use the broth) or 1/2 cup chicken broth ( I use the broth)
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons cold water
Directions:
Trim fat from pork chops —
Cook pork in 10″ nonstick skillet over medium heat, turning once, until brown; drain —
Arrange onions on pork —
Mix wine, vinegar, sugar and cloves; pour over onions and pork —
Heat to boiling; reduce heat —
Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until pork is tender —
Remove pork and onions; keep warm —
Skim any fat from the liquid in skillet —
Mix cornstarch and water; gradually stir into liquid —
Heat to boiling; stirring constantly —
Boil and stir 1 minute —
Serve sauce over pork and onions — .
