Ingredients:
2 lbs apples
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup white wine
1 piece lemon rind
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:
Peel and core the apples.
Cut into thick slices.
Saute in butter 2-3 minutes.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Add water, wine, lemon peel and lemon juice.
Cover and cook slowly until tender.
