Ingredients:
1 head red cabbage, cored and shredded
3/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup bacon grease
Directions:
Put cabbage in a pot and fill enough water to ALMOST cover the cabbage.
Pour in the vinegar, sugar, and bacon grease.
Cook on Med-hi/Med for 45 min (covered, but cracked), stirring occasionally.
Check cabbage after 25 min to check for additions of water/sugar/vinegar.
