Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup butter flavor shortening
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups quick oats
2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat together butter, shortening, and sugars until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt-Mix well.
Stir in oats and chocolate chips-Mix well.
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool on the cookie sheet for one minute and remove to a wire rack.
