Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
2 slices bacon, diced
1 tablespoon minced onions
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons chopped green peppers
1 tablespoon chopped onions
1 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1 bay leaves
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons flour
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients; form 4 oval patties.
Brown patties on both sides.
Remove and keep warm.
Reserve 2 T drippings in skillet.
Saute green pepper and onion until tender.
Add next 6 ingredients.
Mix flour and water to a smooth paste.
Add to tomato mixture, stirring constantly.
Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Return patties; cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
Uncover and simmer 5 more minutes.
Remove bay leaf.
