Ingredients:
4 ounces self raising flour
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 ounces margarine
6 tablespoons clear honey
2 ounces soft brown sugar
1 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 ounce sliced almonds

Directions:
sift dry ingredients into a bowl.
rub in the fat until it becomes like breadcrumbs.
add the honey,sugar and egg.
beat and add ilk if required until mixture is creamy.
pour into a lined greased 7in square tin.
sprinkle with the almonds.
bake in a preheated oven gas4 for 30mins or until firm to the touch.
turn out and leave to cool.

Time total: 35 min.
