Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons cocoa, heaping
1/4 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
hot water ( enough to moisten sugar)
2 2/3 tablespoons butter
3 teaspoons cocoa, heaping
Directions:
Melt cocoa and butter.
Put soda in buttermilk.
Mix dry ingredients first and add cocoa last.
Bake in a greased and floured 8 in.
pan for 25 min at 350F degrees.

Mix sugar and water.
Add softened butter and cocoa.
Beat until creamy.
Add 1 tsp vanilla.
Stir until smooth and ice cake.
