Ingredients:
1 (32 ounce) cans pork and beans
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
1/3 cup brown sugar ( or molasses)
1 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in
1 tablespoon hot water
1 large yellow onions, chopped
1/4 cup green peppers, chopped
fresh ground black pepper
Tabasco sauce
3 slices bacon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Spray casserole dish lightly with cooking oil.
In mixing bowl, combine beans, 1/2 cup catsup, mustard, bouillon, relish, onion, green pepper and brown sugar/molasses.
Mix well.
Add black pepper and Tabasco sauce to taste.
Pour into casserole and top with remaining ketchup and bacon slices.
Cover and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
Remove foil and increase oven to 350 degrees F.
Bake an additional 30 minutes.
