Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
2/3 cup plain breadcrumbs ( panko also works)
1 eggs, slightly beaten
1 green onions, chopped fine
1 garlic cloves, minced fine
1/2 cup zucchini, shredded fine
1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 garlic cloves, minced fine
1/2 cup cranberry sauce
1 cup alfalfa sprouts
3 tablespoons sunflower seeds ( without the shells)
6 whole whole wheat hamburger buns
Directions:
Mix all of the burger ingredients together and form 6 patties; set aside.
Mix all of the glaze ingredients together.
Place burgers on hot grill.
Cook for 5 minutes on each side, brushing with the glaze every few minutes.
Remove burgers from the grill.
Smear a bit of cranberry sauce on each of the 6 buns.
Top bun with a burger.
Top burger with alfalfa sprouts.
Top sprouts with a sprinkling of sunflower seeds.
Put top bun on bottom bun and eat.
