Ingredients:
2 -3 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 cup onions, finely chopped
1 (28 ounce) cans tomatoes
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
2 pinches black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Directions:
Saute onions in olive oil, reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 15 minutes or until onions are soft.
Add the tomatoes, spices and herbs.
Bring up to boiling and then cover, reduce heat to medium low and cook for 20-30 minutes, checking on it a few times and adjust the seasoning.
