Ingredients:
1 (15 1/2 ounce) cans red beans, drained do not rinse
1 (5 2/3 ounce) packages lipton cajun sides rice and sauce mix ( dirty rice mix)
3/4 lb smoked sausage, diced
2 cups water
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
4 tablespoons cooking oil

Directions:
Over medium heat in a large skillet, heat oil.
When oil is hot, add sausage.
Cook until lightly browned.
Add rest of ingredients.
When mixture starts to boil, cover with lid.
Reduce heat and simmer for 7 to 10 minutes, or until rice is tender.
Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
If desired serve with cornbread.
