Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup onions
3/4 cup green peppers, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (30 ounce) cans yellow hominy, drained
1 cup frozen green peas
3 1/2 cups water
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 fresh jalapenos, to taste,sliced

Directions:
Heat oil and saute onion, green pepper and garlic until it is soft.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Heat until boiling.
Garnish with broken tortilla chips and avocado slices.

Servings: 6
