Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs lean beef, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 medium onions, chopped
1 tablespoon cooking oil
6 cups beef broth
1 cup barley
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon rosemary, crushed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 carrots, sliced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
Brown meat and onion in oil.
Put into a deep pan along with the broth, barley, thyme, marjoram, rosemary, pepper and carrots.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour or until carrots and barley are tender.
Add parsley before serving.
